Adults with Congenital Heart Disease
The most rapidly growing population of patients with congenital heart disease is the adult with repaired congenital heart disease. There are few places where such patients can receive coordinated and comprehensive care. Dr. Daniel Murphy has developed a program for the care of adults with congenital heart disease, which is a joint venture between the pediatric cardiologists of LPCH and the adult cardiologists of Stanford Hospital. The program holds a regular multidisciplinary clinic at Stanford University Hospital, and is involved in the decision-making for all surgical and interventional catheterization and electrophysiology procedures undertaken in these patients.
